Our journey to India

Image
This post is from Elsa's and Twinkie's perspective. They are narrating. Twinkie The travel girl: It's time to go to the dog hotel! My pointy ears shot up. Dog hotel! The travel girl and her family are taking lots of trips lately! We get to the dog hotel. I am annoyed because Elsa is barking so loudly because she is exited. 1 week later: Wow! The travel girl is taking a long trip! Just then a truck pulled up. Then this nice lady came and played outside with us. Wow, she is so nice. Uh oh, she picks my crate up and me and puts me in a truck. We drive to this mysterious place. Me going to the airport. Elsa Wow! We went to this cool place in that dark truck! Now we are on these moving things going to a weird place that is shaped like a oval and has wings! That thing is usually in the sky! I wonder if it has people to sniff and play with. We are now in it. Twinkie looks really scared. I am a little bit scared. This is not what I imagined. It is so dark in here I’m tired already...

Happiness!

Twinkie about to go to the airport   This will be a very short post. I am so happy that my dogs are here! Their names is Elsa and Twinkie. Twinkie is the one with gold hair and Elsa is the one with brown hair. I miss them a lot because I haven't seen them for one and a half weeks. Here are some pictures of them

What I saw

I'm in Bangalore. Soon  Bangalore is going to be called Bengaluru. This post is all about the things I see. The other day I went golfing. It was a 1 hour drive so I saw a lot of things. We saw at least 100 stray dogs while we were driving. Most of the stray dogs were standing on a pile of stuff like bricks or dirt. I felt a little bit sad because I like dogs a lot. I was also happy because some people were feeding the stray dogs. There were 20 stray dogs on the golf course. We also saw lots of cows. There was also some chickens. I have not seen any monkeys or snakes yet. I saw lots of street stands too. I also saw lots of auto rickshaws. An auto rickshaw is like motorcycle with a cover and 2 seats. There was also lots of motorcycles. We even saw people walking and biking on the street! Auto rickshaw Stray dogs Stand Fun facts about things I saw Bangalore has around 300,000 stray dogs. Bangalore has around 190,000 auto rickshaws. Karnataka has around 60,000 cows.

The journey to India

Image
It was hard to bring all the luggage to the airport. We had 3 carryons, 3 suitcases, 3 golf bags, and 3 backpacks.     I flew on Qatar airways to go to India. We were in business class. The seats were nice because they could lay down, especially since it was a 15 hour flight. There was a separator between you and the person sitting next to you. There was also a blanket and toiletries and headphones and water provided. Here is a picture of the seats. There was also food on the plane too. Most of it was international food. For dinner I ate the American style tapas and wok fried Asian vegetables. For treat I ate mixed berries with elderflower. For breakfast I had fresh orange juice, a platter of seasonal cut fruit, and steel cut oats with chia seed. It was all delicious. Here a picture of the menu. There were lots of movies on the tv. I watched a few of them. I fell asleep for 4 hours on the first flight and 1 hour on the second flight which was only 4.5 hours. ZZZ zzz ...

My fun day.

Image
My fun day I wanted to have a fun day before I moved, so first I went to Texas tree ventures( a ropes course place). Here is a picture. I went on the second level because the third level was REALLY high up. It was cool that if you trip or slip(rhyme!) you could hang or zip line the rest of the way. My least favorite was the log. My favorite was either the Trublue(Information in next paragraph) or the cargo net. A trublue is a thing that will slowly drift you to the ground. First you have to pull a rope to get the trublue to you. Then you have to attach the trublue to your harness. Then there is the scary part, you step off the platform. The trublue platform is 4 stories high! But it is fun when you were drifting to the ground. It's like a swing! Trublue Golf There is not much to say about golf. It was 100 degrees. It was hot!                                            ...

Packing

Image
We are moving soon so we are organizing all of our stuff. We have a LOT of stuff to organize.  We already organized the messiest rooms( My bedroom, playroom, and the craft room.) We had to put everything into crates and bins. The moving men will put the crates and bins in boxes and then put them in a truck. We have to pack a lot of things in our suitcases because we are going to be in a hotel for a month! Our house has a lot of stuff!, but we finished cleaning. The packers are very loud. They already packed but today they are loading. We have at least 30 boxes in the living room! We made a do not pack room with our suitcases, backpacks, and carry ons  so it would be easier than putting a do not pack label on them. We are staying at the duck hotel until Sunday June 12 (The day we move). We are moving so soon!  we move! That's it for now!

How I felt when my parents told me that I’m moving to India

Image
When my parents told me that I was moving to India I felt: I didn’t believe them  I didn’t believe them because they had just randomly told me and also India is super far away from Texas. Worried  I felt worried because I would have to go to a new school and make new friends. I am not worried to make new friends I like to make friends. I will just miss my friends because I won’t see them for 3 years or possibly longer.   Excited : I am excited because I get to meet new people. I get to live in a new house. I also get to try new food. I am excited because I like to have new adventures and travel to different places. There are lots of cool places to travel in India. Have you ever lived in a far away country or even continent? If so reply in the comments  I hoped you enjoyed this post!

Hi! I am the travel girl! I started to make this blog because I am moving to India! I live in Texas so India is really far away. This isn't the first time I have moved abroad though, I moved to Europe when I was 2. I am a expat so I might move again. I have moved 8 times so far and this is going to be my ninth.
