Nickel candy!?

Image
Nickel candy? Or Chips!? Do you remember nickel and dime candy? I really wish it could still exist. Would you think it would be true if I said, it still exists? Well here is your answer… It does! When I went to the little local shop, Lulu’s, I found a ton of candies, chips, chocolate, etc, for only 5-10 rupees! 5 rupees is 6 cents  (USD) and 10 rupees is 12 cents (USD). Before I talk about what I bought, I will share a little bit of info about a very popular nickel candy.  Juicy fruit gum In l1893 Wrigley introduced Juicy fruit gum. In the early to mid 1900’s Juicy fruit gum  only cost a nickel for 5 sticks of gum. Starting at around 1960 it started to cost a  quarter for 5 sticks. Juicy fruit gum was the most popular in the 1940’s and the 1950’s. Let's start! 1. Chocolate  There is a popular chocolate in India called Dairy Milk, which is a cheap chocolate with prices from just 5 Rupees to 100 Rupees. It is a small chocolate that is like any other cheap chocolat...

Hi! I went on a trip! I went to an island called Mauritius! Have you been there? It is an island next to Africa. It has beef! Let’s get started! From India, Mauritius is about 6 hours from Bangalore. I landed at about 11am, and the view from the landing was amazing! There is lots of palm trees and mountains. I stayed at the dinorobin beachcomber hotel. It had a amazing beach, with a cool view of Le Mourne ( a mountain ) . Breakfast kitty In Mauritius most people speak Mauritian Creole or French. I forgot to mention, but the supermarkets in Mauritius, are huge! There is lots of CANDY! There is not many chips though. I was happy when I saw the beef and cheese! There is not that much good cheese in India. Anyways I did lots of fun stuff!  I went to a ropes course/ hiking pace in the mountains. It was raining when I went, so I got a bit nervous that it would be closed. I went on two zip lines! They were pretty long, and fun! I also did fishing for the first time! I caught lots o...

Elsa drool challenge

Image
I decided to write this blog post because my dog Elsa, always drools at food. Like this..... I am experimented with different foods to see which food would make Elsa drool more. The foods that I used were, dog chicken, Meat up treats, yogurt, and dog food. First was dog food. Elsa drooled a lot for this one! I was surprised for this one because Elsa has dog food every day, just plain dog food. If there was a scale from one to ten, with one being no drool, and ten being lots of drool, I think this one was 8 out of 10. Next is yogurt. Elsa only drooled a little bit for this one, and yogurt is one of her favorite foods! ( She has a lot of favorite foods.) Elsa got a yogurt beard ! She looked funny in the picture. This one was a four out of ten. Now dog chicken  I was SUPER surprised when Elsa didn’t drool a lot for this one. She LOVES dog chicken . There was a small puddle of drool on the bottom of her crate. She would of drooled a lot if it was chicken broth. I think this was a three...

India Travel pt.1

Hi! This week I went to the most famous monument of India! Clue : it’s 2 words Did you guess it? It was the … Taj Mahal! This is the Taj Mahal! I’m going to kind of explain the “map” of the Taj Mahal and say some facts about it.  When you enter there is a  main gate , which is very big. There is 4 gardens with trees and flowers in each. There is a long fountain in the middle. Tip: the best time to go to the Taj Mahal is in the early morning, because it’s less crowded, and not very hot. Taj Mahal is made of white marble. The estimated amount of marble used is 70,000 metric tons! If you shine a flashlight on the marble it’s translucent. The Taj Mahal is huge! Inside you couldn’t take pictures but I will describe it. There is 2 tombs for Shah Jahan( emperor) and his wife. They were really big and also made of marble. They were buried 7 feet deep! Behind the Taj Mahal is a river .You might think that the Taj Mahal is very big,  it looks big on the outside but on the ins...
